IBPS SO Prelim Result Announced; What’s Next.

New Delhi: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the prelim exam result for Specialist Officer recruitment yesterday. The result is available on the Official IBPS website. Candidates can view and download their result till January 13. Candidates who have qualified the IBPS SO prelim exam will have to appear for the IBPS SO Main exam.

The IBPS SO Main exam is scheduled on January 25, 2020. The main exam will also be computer-based and objective in nature.

The main exam will be held separately for Rajbhasha Adhikari post and all other posts separately. IBPS is conducting this exam for selection of eligible candidates for six designations – Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari.

The IBPS SO Main exam for Rajbhasha Adhikari will also have a descriptive element. The exam will be of 60 minutes duration in which 30 minutes are allotted to Objective and 30 minutes are allotted to Descriptive part. The objective part will have 45 questions and the descriptive part will have 2 questions.

For all other posts, the main exam will be of 45 minutes duration. There will be 60 objective questions to test a candidate’s professional knowledge. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi.

“Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in the test of Online Main examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview,” says IBPS SO recruitment notice.

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission conducted the examination to select the candidates for the Civil Judge for the Junior division. The exam was conducted on May 11, 2019. The candidates who appeared for the examination and the candidates who have scored the minimum cut off mark will be called for the next process in the selection which is the Interview process.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the examination has 3 process. The first process is the prelims examination, the candidates who appeared for the exam if they have scored the cut off marks will be eligible to appear for the 2 process which is the main examination.

The main exam was conducted on May 11, 2019. After the cut off marks where decided and the results of the main exam was declared on 22 November, 2019 the candidates who are eligible will be eligible for the 3rd round. Steps to Follow to View the Letter:

  • The candidates have to visit the official website of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission.
  • On the home page the candidates will a link that says interview letter.
  • The candidates can log in using their registration number and if the interview letter is available the candidates are qualified for the interview process.

The candidates who have scored the cut off mark which is fixed by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission are qualified to appear for the examination. The candidates who are considered as qualified will know about it from the interview letter which is posted in the official website of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. The candidates who have received the interview letter are qualified for the next round.

The Institute of Banking Personnel service conducts the Specialist officer and the preliminary officer exam every year to select the candidates to be placed in banks across the country. The 2019 Specialist officer is scheduled to take place on December 28 and December 29.

Selection Process:

There are 3 process which the candidates have to cross in order to become a specialist officer in any bank across the country.

The processes are:

  • Preliminary Exam
  • Main Exam

Preliminary Exam Pattern:

The prelims exam will be conducted for 125 marks. The exam will be divided into 3 sections Reasoning, English language and General Awareness. The English language will be conducted for 25 marks and the other 2 sections for 50 marks each. Each section will be for 40 minutes.

Main Exam Pattern:

The main exam will be conducted on the Professional Knowledge for a total of 60 marks. The duration of the exam will be for 45 minutes. The candidates have to make note of the fact that 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The interview will be conducted for those who cleared the exams.
