IBPS SO 2019| Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has opened the registration process for recruitment of Specialist Officers’ Cadre from Wednesday, 6 November 2019 on its official website – ibps.in.

According to the official notification released earlier, the online preliminary exam will be conducted on 28 and 29 December while the mains exam will be conducted on 25 January 2020.

Stages of examination:

The notification also mentions that the IBPS SO 2019 exam will be conducted in three phases: preliminary, main and interview. Both preliminary and main exam will be conducted in online mode. Those who qualify the preliminary and main exam will be shortlisted for the common interview round which will be conducted by the participating banks.

Vacancies:

The recruitment drive is being conducted for the selection of personnel for the following Specialist Officers’ cadre posts: IT Officer (Scale-I), Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I) Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I), Law Officer (Scale I), HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I), and Marketing Officer (Scale I).

Eligibility and age limit:

The age limit for IBPS SO examination is between 20 and 30 years calculated as on the last date of applying. Hence, candidates applying should be a maximum of 30 years of age on or before 26 November 2019.

Application fee:

The candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PWBD categories will be required to pay an application of Rs 100 while those belonging to the general category will have to submit Rs 600 (exclusive of GST).

The preliminary exam for the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs VIII) was conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on 12th October 2019 and 19th October 2019.

The result for the same has now been released on the official website of IBPS: www.ibps.in. The result was released on 1st November 2019. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can now take a look at their result on the official website.

The result is available till 8th November 2019. Very soon the scorecard and the cut off marks will also be displayed on the official website.

The main exam for those candidates who will be qualified in the preliminary exams will be conducted on 30th November 2019.

The result consists of the marks attained by the candidate who has appeared for the exam. The candidates can check the results by entering the Roll number and Date of Birth. This exam was conducted for the selection of Grade-A officers (Scale-I, II, III).

  • Step 4: Login with your IBPS registration number and password.

  • Step 6: Download the result and print it out to keep a hard copy for further uses.

Cut-off marks

The other factors that affect the cut-off score are the total number of vacancies; number of candidates, difficulty level and attempts made by the candidates. The expected cut off marks are as follows: –

  • General: 58-62
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 57-60
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 48-52
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 42-45
  • Visually Impaired (VI): 38-40

Exam Pattern

The main exam pattern for IBPS RRB can be given as:

  • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude: 45 MCQs of 60 marks with a time period of 60 minutes
  • General/Economy/Banking Awareness: 40 MCQs of 40 marks with a time period of 35 minutes.
  • English Language: 35 MCQs of 40 marks with a time period of 40 minutes
  • Data Analytics and Interpretation: 35 MCQs of 60 marks with a time period of 45 minutes
  • In total, 155 Questions will be asked of 200 marks, and the time period will be 3 hours.
  • English Descriptive Paper (Letter Writing and Essay): 2 questions of 25 marks with a time period of 30 minutes.

In total, there are 225 questions which include both objective and descriptive questions. There will be a negative marking of 1/4th marks for a wrong answer.

IBPS PO Result 2019: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will soon release the result of the computer-based exam for the post of Probationary Officers / Management Trainees. The result is expected to release in the last week of October or first week of November, as per media reports. IBPS PO exam was held on 12, 13, 19 and 20 October across the country.

It is also mentioned in the official website that the result of IBPS PO/MT Exam would be announced in October/November 2019. Moreover, as per IBPS past trends, the result is declared within 15 days of the examination. IBPS PO Exam 2018 exam was held on 13 and 14 October and the result for the same was released on 31 October 2019.

After releasing the prelims result, IBPS PO Score Card shall be uploaded on IBPS official website.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is expected to release the notification for IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment (SO) examination soon on its official website. If past trends are to be believed, IBPS SO 2019 exam notification is expected to be released this week. Candidates can visit the official website of IBPS i.e. ibps.in to check the notification. Last year the notification was released around October 26. The notification is expected around the same time.

IBPS SO is conducted for recruitment of individuals in HR, IT and Marketing departments as well as for Law Officers, Rajbasha Adhikari’s and Agricultural Field Officers in various public sector banks in the country.

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for IBPS SO is to have a bachelor’s degree (may also require a post-graduate degree/ diploma). The age limit for IBPS SO exam is between 20 to 30 years. The upper age limit if usually calculated as on the first day of the month in which the registration begins. This year, the upper age limited would be calculated as on November 1, 2019.

IBPS or the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is body that carries out recruitment within the banking sector of India. It inducts a large number of young graduates into the nationalised banks offering different kinds of banking job opportunities. For the purpose of carrying out recruitments systematically, IBPS undertakes written examinations in a standardised form along with fair assessments and subsequently releases the results for the same.

One of the commonly conducted exams by IBPS is that of IBPS RRB Clerk, which involves the recruitment for the group ‘B’ post of Clerk in any of the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) under the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. For this recruitment drive, candidates will have to appear for two stages of exam – Prelims and Mains.

The preliminary exams have already been conducted by the IBPS in 2019. With the successful completion of the examination on 17th , 18th and 25th August 2019, the results of the Prelims had also been released a few days ago. Candidates could check their results from the official website of IBPS, www.ibps.in. Those who passed the preliminary exam have now been qualified for the Main exam which will entail the final round of selection.

Candidates must buckle up as the IBPS RRB Clerk Main Exam 2019 will be conducted today itself, that is on 20th October 2019. The admit cards for the mains were released on 3rd October 2019, and if someone is yet to download it, must do it without delay.

Candidates can make a note of some important instructions for the Main exam today, which will be helpful for them to avoid confusion at the last moment –

  1. Carry all the important documents – Candidates are advised to carry each and every document important for the exam. They will be required to produce the following documents at the time of examination –
    • Valid call letter/ admit card
    • Photocopy of identity proof
    • Original proof of identity

In the absence of these documents, candidates can be prevented from appearing for the exam. The identity proof should also contain the name as submitted in the online application.

  1. No personal items – Any personal items of the candidates such as the Pencil Box, geometry box papers, pouches, stationary materials, log tables, electric pens, mobile phones or scanners are completely forbidden in the exam hall.
  2. Avoid Shoes – Candidates are advised to wear open sandals rather than closed shoes which can waste time in opening and frisking. It is also important to reach the venue on the time which has been stated in the admit card.
  3. Admit Card – Admit Card is an important document for the exam. Candidates should make sure that they only carry a hardcopy of the admit card to the examination hall. Soft copies on any electronic devices will not be accepted.

Further, the thumb impression on the admit card should be given only in the examination centre. If the thumb impression had already been made by the candidates, they must download a fresh copy for the examination. The admit cards will be submitted in the examination centre.

Candidates must also make a note of changes in the exam pattern of IBPS RRB Clerk Main Exam 2019 before appearing for the exam.

IBPS PO Prelims Day 2 analysis: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted the probationary officer (PO) prelims examinations on its second day on Saturday, October 19, 2019. The examination commenced in the morning today and on the basis of the feedback received from the students, the overall level of the exam in the first slot was moderate.

There are three stages of this examination: preliminary, main and personality test. The prelims exam beginning today are only qualifying in nature. The overall selection is done giving 80 per cent weight to the Main and 20 per cent weight to the interview.

IBPS PO Prelims: Check section wise analysis

Quantitative Aptitude :- This section (a maximum of 35 questions) was to be attempted in 20 minutes. The difficulty level of this section was high. This time, the questions asked were tricky and calculative, which is a notable change in the question pattern. An attempt above 22 can be considered good here.

Reasoning :- Students had to attempt 35 questions in 20 minutes. The difficulty level was moderate but the questions were time-consuming. The increase in the number of puzzle questions was a change this time. An attempt above 24 questions can be considered good.

English Language :- A maximum of 30 questions had to be done in 20 minutes. The level of difficulty ranged between easy and moderate. The addition of different question patterns was seen in the exam. An attempt above 22 can be considered good here.

This year, there are 4,336 vacancies spread across the country. Every year, more than 8 lakh candidates apply for this exam to qualify for such vacancies in PSU Banks. The Prelims exam has been scheduled in two batches for 12 and 19 October, 2019, while the Main exam will be held on 30 November 2019. The interviews will be conducted in January/February 2020.

The IBPS Preliminary Examination 2019 commenced last week on October 12. The Main examination is scheduled to be conducted on November 30, 2019.
