StartUp India Tableau

Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, DPIIT will be showcasing Startup India’s tableau in the Republic Day parade this year. The tableau is based on the theme Startups: Reach for the Sky and will showcase stages in the lifecycle of a startup. It will also denote the support a start-up receives from the Government and what innovations it brings to the life of people.  The program was started on January 16, 2016.

From the front, the tableau depicts a creative mind with the startup tree in the middle representing support to the startups. The staircase denotes the stages of growth and the rear wheel depicts sectors of the economy. The map depicts the spread of the startup and along with the wheel, it represents the width and depth of startup in the country.

Bru Refugees:

According to a quadripartite agreement recently, Tripura has been legally declared home to Bru tribes who were displaced from Mizoram in 1997 and were living in Tripura ever since then. The Bru people are spread in Tripura, Mizoram and southern Assam. These are also referred to Reangs in Mizoram and have their own distinct language and dialect thus making them one of the scheduled tribes of India.

PRAGATI

PM Modi had launched Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation on March 25, 2015, to address common man’s grievance. Pragati helps to monitor various programmes and projects of the Government of India as well as State Governments. Till now projects worth INR 12000 crore have been reviewed.  It is a multi-purpose and multi-modal governance platform.

Hyperloop:

In reference to Mumbai Pune hyperloop scrapped by Maharashtra Government, it becomes important to know what hyperloop is. It is an ultra-modern transport system that would have reduced the transportation time of these two cities to 25 minutes. This was the brainchild of Elon Musk. In this type of communication, a pod-like vehicle is propelled through a vacuum-like tube to match the speed of an aircraft.
