WBPSC releases vacancy for Principal for Degree college; apply at pscwbonline.gov.in

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has released a recruitment notification for Principal position for Government Degree College on December 10th, 2019. Candidates can access the official notification and apply for the same at the official website, pscwbapplication.in.

A total number of 38 vacancies will be filled via this recruitment drive for the Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal. The last day to apply and pay the application fees online for the recruitment drive is December 24th, 2019.

Candidates must be between the ages of 40 and 55 years to be eligible to apply for the recruitment drive. The candidate must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing Bengali except for candidates whose native tongue is Nepali. For qualifications, following criteria must be met:

(a) A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized university, along with relaxations applicable to specified categories.

(b) A Ph.D. degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institution concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.

(c) Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of 15 years of teaching/research/administration in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of Higher Education as clarified under provisio-II.

(d) A minimum scores tipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out inthe U.G.C.( Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) regulation 2010 and subsequent amendment thereto in appendix III for direct recruitment of principal in colleges ( as prescribed for professor by U.G.C. )

(e) Any other stipulations prescribed by UGC from time to time as accepted by the State Government.

It has also been notified that the admit card for IDO exam will be available for download from December 12, 2019, and that for clinical instructor will be released on December 19, 2019.

The WBPSC Industrial Development Office recruitment 2019 is for a total of 118 vacancies for Industrial Development Officer in the Directorate of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, West Bengal under the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises and Textiles Department, Govt. of W.B. Applications against this post, against advertisement No. 10 /2019, were accepted online from May 14 to June 3, 2019. 

Clinical Instructor recruitment is being carried out against advertisement number 28(3)/2017 for the posts of Clinical Instructor, Nursing Training Institute (for GNM course) under Directorate of ESI (MB) Scheme, WB under the Labour Department, Govt. of W.B. 

Clerkship recruitment is as per WBPSC advertisement number 05/2019, for which applications were accepted until March 25, 2019.

The WBCS 2020 is a more recent notification, released in November 2019. Applications were accepted until November 26, 2019. With the exam date in February 2020, it is expected that the admit card will be released by end of January 2020.

West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Recruitment Examination 2019 notification is the most recent of them all. This was notified in advertisement no. 28/2019 on December 4, 2019. The application form submission for this exam is still ongoing, and will end on December 23, 2019. 

Conveying the tentative nature of the dates, the exam date schedule notification says “The date indicated above are tentative and are being provided for general guidance of the examinees, particularly to facilitate their preparations for academic or competitive examinations only. The Commission cannot guarantee strict adherence to such dates, notwithstanding its best effort to maintain those, and shall not be held responsible for any losses, pecuniary or otherwise, arising out of presumption of such dates being accurate. Advertisement for actual date of examinations will be published in due course in the website of the Commission as well as Newspapers.”

Another notification released by the WBPSC states that the admit cards for the WBPSC IDO Preliminary Exam 2019 will be released on 12th December 2019, and the admit cards for the WBPSC Clinical Instructor Exam 2019 will be released on 19th December 2019.

As per the official notification, the WBPSC IDO Preliminary Exam 2019 will be conducted on 22nd December 2019, and the WBPSC Clinical Instructor Exam 2019 will be held on 29th December 2019. Although both these exams will be held on separate dates, the timings would be the same, i.e. 12.00 PM to 1.30 PM.

On the day of the examination, candidates must carry along their admit cards along with a valid government-issued ID proof. Any candidates reaching the venue without their admit cards and ID proof will not be allowed to participate in the respective examination.

Candidates must note the below mentioned important information pertaining to the above-mentioned examinations:

  • The admit cards for the WBPSC Clinical Instructor Exam 2019 will be released on 19th December 2019, and the examination will take place on 29th December 2019.
  • Candidates must bring a printout of the admit card along with a valid ID proof on the day of the examination.
  • No gadgets or communication devices will be allowed inside the hall.

WBPSC Prelims Admit Card 2019: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has announced the preliminary exam dates for Industrial Development Officer and Clinical Instructor Posts. Candidates applied for the posts will be soon able to download their admit card through the official website of WBPSC.i.e.pscwbapplication.in.

As per the notice released on WBPSC official website, The West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is going to conduct WBPC IDO Prelims Exam 2019 on 22 December 2019 while WBPSC Clinical Instructor Exam 2019 on 29 December 2019 between 12 PM to 1:30 PM.

The WBPSC IDO Prelims Exam 2019 will consist 75 questions on General Studies including Science, Humanities, Industrial Scene & Industrial Potential in West Bengal & India and 25 questions on Mental Ability Test & Arithmetic ( Madhyamik Standard of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education ), each carrying 1 mark While the WBPSC Clinical Instructor Prelims Exam 2019 will have four sections. i.e. A, B, C and D. A total of 100 marks will be asked in each paper. The duration will be of 1 hour 30 minutes. There will be negative marking also for marking wrong answers. 

The exam will cover the subjects of Fundamental of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetric and gynecology nursing, community health nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, anatomy and physiology, psychology & sociology, microbiology, nutrition, education, administration and research.

The commission will release the WBPSC IDO and Clinical Instructor Admit Card 2019 on and from 12 December and 19 December 2019 respectively. WBPSC recruitment 2019: West Bengal Public Service Commission has released a notification inviting applications for the recruitment of assistant professor posts. The registration process will start on November 29, 2019 and the candidates can apply till December 19, 2019 on the website-www.pscwbonline.gov.in

Candidates should note that the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is an essential requirement but it is not mandatory for candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali.

WBPSC recruitment 2019: Eligibility

Age limit: Candidates should not be more than 40 years of age. However, reserved category candidates will get age relaxation according to government norms.

Academic qualification: Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade at the Master’s level. They should also have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET). However, the candidates who have been awarded a PhD degree from the University Grants Commission shall be exempted NET/ SLET/SET. WBPSC recruitment 2019: Application fee

General/OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs 210 as application fee. However, SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities do not have to pay any fee.

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of a preliminary screening test and interview. The qualifying marks in an interview for the general category is 40 per cent, for OBC is 38 per cent, for SC is 35 per cent and for ST candidates is 30 per cent.
