JEE Main 2020: “I will work for the nation’s development, maybe as a civil servant or as a researcher”. Unlike most of his peers, JEE Main 2020 topper from Rajasthan Parth Dwivedi is keen on pursuing higher education in India and not abroad. Parth topped the JEE Main from Rajasthan along with nine others, who scored perfect 100 percentile this year. The 17-year-old aims to pursue Computer Science from IIT Bombay.

According to Parth, his mother’s selfless service to the nation as a police officer inspired him to work for the country. “I grew up seeing my mother’s tireless service for the nation. Whether it is early morning or late at night, my mother was always dedicated to the service,” said the topper.

Parth’s mother Neeti Dwivedi is an Additional SP in Lucknow Police and father Bineet Dwivedi is an Indian Railway Service (IRAS) officer.

Regarding his preparation for JEE, Parth said he followed the tutorials provided by Allen Career Institute, Kota, and appeared for the mock test series. For textual references, Parth followed the Physics book by HC Verma, IE Irodov and Maths book by Sen and Ghosh.

Though Parth is delighted about his performance, his sole focus is now on JEE Advanced. “The JEE Advanced tests a student’s concepts, speed, and accuracy. I will continue with the preparation of JEE Advanced along with boards,” the topper said.

The JEE Advanced is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2020. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the rank after the April exam. For candidates who appeared in both the sessions, the best score will be counted in preparing the rank, as per the rule of NTA.

The marks obtained are converted in percentile score. The marks obtained are converted into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.

New Delhi: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced 421 vacancies for Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer available with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour and Employment. The last date to apply for this recruitment is January 31, 2020.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline to be eligible for recruitment. Upper age limit is 30 years.

Eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment through the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) website, ‘upsconline.nic.in’. The last date to print completed application form is February 2, 2020.

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25 only either offline by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or online by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using visa/master credit/debit card.

Candidates will be selected after a pen-paper based Recruitment Test (RT) and Interview. The Recruitment Test and Interview will carry weightage in the ratio of 75:25 for the candidates who are shortlisted for interview on the basis of performance in the Recruitment Test.

The Recruitment Test will be held tentatively on October 4, 2020.

The Recruitment Test (RT) will be of two hours’ duration. All the questions will carry equal marks. The test will be objective in nature and questions will be bilingual – in English and Hindi. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for Interview.

UPSC NDA notification 2020: Union Public Service Commission has released a notification inviting applications for National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2020 on its official website.

The application process for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2020 started on Wednesday, January 8 and the last date for submission of application is January 28 till 6pm.

The online applications can be withdrawn from February 4 to February 11 till 6pm. Detailed instructions regarding withdrawal of applications has been given in the notification.

Approximately, 418 posts will be filled through this exam: 370 for the National Defence Academy (208 for the Indian Army, 120 for the Indian Air Force (including 28 for ground Duties), 42 for Indian Navy) and 48 posts for the Indian Naval Academy.

UPSC will on April 19, 2020 conduct the written examination for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 145rd Course, and for the 107th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January, 2021. The examination date is tentative.

UPSC CDS I 2020 admit card: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit card for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination. Candidates can download it through the website – upsconline.nic.in/eadmitcard.

The recruitment examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 2, 2020 and candidates can download the hall ticket till this date.

Candidates selected through the recruitment process will be trained to serve the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), and Officer’s Training Academy (OTA) – as suitable for their profile.

The written examination will be conducted in offline mode, in Hindi and English languages. The exam is of 300 marks, where 100 questions each are asked from English, GK and elementary mathematics. UPSC CDS 1 Admit Card 2020: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the admit card of Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020 (CDS 1 Exam 2020). As per the official notification, the UPSC CDS 1 Admit Card shall be issued three weeks before the commencement of the exam. Hence, CDS Admit Card is expected to release by next week.

UPSC CDS exam is scheduled to be held on 02 February 2020 (Sunday). Candidates who are appearing in the exam can download UPSC CDS Admit Card from UPSC official website www.upsc.gov.in. UPSC is conducting the Combined Defence Services Examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) and Officers Training Academy, Chennai.

UPSC CMS Score 2019 Download: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the Combined Medical Services Examination 2019 score card on its official website. All recommended candidates who have been selected finally in the Combined Medical Services Examination 2019 can check their score of written and other marks on the official website of UPSC – https://www.upsc.gov.in.

It is to be noted that the Union Public Service Commission has declared the final result for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2019 on 21 December 2019. According to the result, a total of 798 candidates have been recommended against the total of 919 reported vacancies under UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination 2019. 

The Computer Based Examination (Part – I) of the Combined Medical Services Examination, 2019 was conducted on 21st July, 2019 by the UPSC. The qualified candidates were participated in the Personality Test (Part – II) which was conducted by the commission from October to December, 2019.
