New Delhi: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the prelim exam result for Specialist Officer recruitment yesterday. The result is available on the Official IBPS website. Candidates can view and download their result till January 13. Candidates who have qualified the IBPS SO prelim exam will have to appear for the IBPS SO Main exam.

The IBPS SO Main exam is scheduled on January 25, 2020. The main exam will also be computer-based and objective in nature.

The main exam will be held separately for Rajbhasha Adhikari post and all other posts separately. IBPS is conducting this exam for selection of eligible candidates for six designations – Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer, and Rajbhasha Adhikari.

The IBPS SO Main exam for Rajbhasha Adhikari will also have a descriptive element. The exam will be of 60 minutes duration in which 30 minutes are allotted to Objective and 30 minutes are allotted to Descriptive part. The objective part will have 45 questions and the descriptive part will have 2 questions.

For all other posts, the main exam will be of 45 minutes duration. There will be 60 objective questions to test a candidate’s professional knowledge. The medium of the exam will be English and Hindi.

“Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in the test of Online Main examination and also secure sufficiently high scores to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online Main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview,” says IBPS SO recruitment notice.

IBPS SP Prelims Result 2019 is expected to be released in this week. Once the result is declared, candidates can check their result on the official website of IBPS– ibps.in. The preliminary examination for IBPS SO 2019 was held on December 28 and December 29, 2019, at various centers across the nation.

Candidates who will qualify the preliminary examination will have to appear for the main examination. The preliminary examination comprised of 150 questions and the maximum marks are 125. Step 3: Enter the login credentials and your result will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Check the result and download it.

Step 5: Keep a hard copy of the same for further need.

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

The main examination will be conducted on January 25, 2020, at various centers across the country. IBPS Specialist Officer or SO Prelims 2019 admit cards is expected to be released soon. As per the schedule and the timelines given by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, IBPS SO Prelims admit cards will be out by this week and latest by December 13, 2019.

The IBPS SO 2019 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 28 and 29. Candidates who have registered to appear for the exam can download their admit cards from– ibps.in once it is made available.

Candidates who have applied for the examination are advised to keep a check on the official website. Intimation regarding the release of admit card would not be shared by IBPS with any candidate. All are required to keep a check on the official website for latest updates.

IBPS SO 2019 Exam: About the exam

IBPS SO 2019 examination would be a three step recruitment process. Preliminary examination is the first leg of the recruitment.
