The state needs private investment for economic and industrial development knowing it well that it cannot sustain growth merely on public spending, he said while inaugurating a two-day conference on Bihar's growth being organized by the Asian Development and Research Institute (ADRI).
The private sector should consider making investment in small and medium enterprises and agro-based industrial units in Bihar in view of the prevalence of a right ambience for such industries in the state, Modi said.
The Deputy Chief Minister also urged the Centre and influential people from Bihar to keep their good offices for bringing in private investment in the state.
